M.A.H transitioned from a modest family-run operation to a registered limited company, marking a significant milestone in its journey. Founded by the dynamic duo of Mike Hitchen and Jayne Hitchen, the company began to grow its workforce, bringing in additional personnel for both the Accounts Department and On-Site Operatives.
As the years progressed, M.A.H continued to expand, adding more team members, including Project Managers and On-Site Operatives. This growth necessitated a move from their home-based operations to a commercial property in Oldbury, allowing the company to better accommodate its increasing workforce and expanding client base. This relocation was a pivotal moment in the evolution of M.A.H, signifying its readiness to take on larger projects.
The company made further strides in its development by hiring additional key positions, including a Building Division Manager and several Project Managers, alongside more on-site operatives. During this period, M.A.H also established a robust network of subcontractors, significantly enhancing its capacity to tackle larger projects. Notably, the fleet of company vehicles expanded from just one vehicle in 2011 to four by the end of 2020, reflecting the company’s growth and operational needs.
With continued expansion in the workforce, M.A.H relocated to a more expansive commercial facility in Halesowen. This move was crucial for improving operational capabilities and enabling the company to manage more complex projects. The relocation led to further growth within the organization, with additional hires in the Project Management Team, Administrative team, and On-Site Operatives to support the increasing demands of the business.
In a testament to the company’s commitment to growth and development, the Reactive Maintenance Coordinator was promoted to a Project Management role, contributing significantly to the expansion of the Project Management Team. The company continued to enhance its workforce by adding more Project Manager and On-Site Operatives, while also increasing its vehicle fleet by adding another vehicle, bringing the total to five.
The year marked another significant promotion as the Building Division Manager transitioned into a Project Management role. This shift was accompanied by the hiring of a Project Director, which greatly enhanced M.A.H’s project management capabilities. Additionally, the company continued to expand its team of On-Site Operatives to support the growing volume and complexity of projects.
The company’s trajectory of growth persisted with the recruitment of a dedicated Social Media Manager and a Health and Safety Advisor, alongside further On-Site Operatives. M.A.H continued to build a comprehensive network of subcontractors, empowering the company to undertake more substantial contracts than ever before. Furthermore, the vehicle fleet expanded to six, reflecting the ongoing growth and operational demands of the business.
